VGP NV: Kondigt benoeming aan van Jonny Allen tot Directeur Urban en Last Mile Logistics

Berchem (Antwerpen), België, 9 april 2021, 7:00am CET – VGP NV (‘VGP’ of ‘de Groep’), een Europese aanbieder van hoogwaardig logistiek en semi-industrieel vastgoed, kondigt de benoeming aan van Jonny Allen als directeur Urban en Last Mile Logistics.

De heer Allen, die op 1 maart 2021 bij VGP begon, zal verantwoordelijk zijn voor de ontwikkeling van VGP’s last mile, e-commerce en urban logistics aanbod aan nieuwe en bestaande klanten in alle landen waar VGP actief is.

Jonny Allen zei: “Met de snelle technologische ontwikkelingen en het veranderende consumentengedrag van de afgelopen jaren is dit een spannende tijd voor de logistieke sector en de warehouse-vastgoedsector.  Ik ben zeer verheugd om bij VGP te komen werken om de uitbreiding van het bedrijf in heel Europa te ondersteunen met hun last mile aanbod”.

Jan Van Geet vervolgde: “De afgelopen maanden hebben we onze teams over de hele linie versterkt, onder meer met deskundigen op het gebied van Last Mile-logistiek en hernieuwbare energie, wat ons productaanbod zal verbeteren en onze betrokkenheid bij onze klanten zal verdiepen”.

Voordat hij het VGP-team vervoegde, werkte Jonny bij Amazon waar hij het hoofd was van Amazon’s European Logistics’ Real Estate team met algehele verantwoordelijkheid voor de uitbreiding van Amazon’s last mile en speciality fulfilment vastgoednetwerk in de EU. Jonny Allen heeft meer dan 17 jaar ervaring in vastgoed en is lid van de Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
