UPM sulkee pysyvästi Chapellen sanomalehtipaperitehtaansa Ranskassa

(UPM, Helsinki, 16.7.2020 klo 11:00) – UPM lopettaa tänään pysyvästi tuotannon Chapellen sanomalehtipaperitehtaallaan Grand-Couronnessa Ranskassa. Yhteistoimintaneuvottelut henkilöstön edustajien kanssa päättyivät 15.6.2020. Neuvottelut käytiin Ranskan lakien mukaisesti ja ne saivat Ranskan viranomaishyväksynnän 15.7.2020.
Tehtaan sulkeminen vaikuttaa 228 ihmiseen. UPM tarjoaa henkilöstölleen tukea lieventääkseen tehtaan sulkemisesta ja työpaikkojen menetyksestä aiheutuneita vaikutuksia.Chapellen sulkeminen vähentää UPM:n vuosittaista sanomalehtipaperikapasiteettia 240 000 tonnia.UPM kirjaa rakennejärjestelykuluina yhteensä 78 miljoonaa euroa, josta 61 miljoonaa euroa kassakustannuksina. 45 miljoonaa euroa kirjattiin vertailukelpoisuuteen vaikuttavina erinä ensimmäisellä neljänneksellä 2020 ja 33 miljoonaa euroa toisella neljänneksellä 2020. Toimenpiteet tuovat noin 30 miljoonan euron vuosittaiset säästöt.Lisätietoa:
