TULIKIVI OYJ:N TYTÄRYHTIÖ NORDIC TALC KÄYNNISTÄÄ SUOMUSSALMEN TALKKIHANKKEEN YVA-MENETTELYNTulikivi Oyj:n tytäryhtiö Nordic Talc Oy on osana Suomussalmen talkkihankkeen toteutettavuusselvitystä päättänyt käynnistää ympäristön vaikutusten arviointia koskevan menettelyn (YVA-menettely). Siinä arvioidaan alueelle suunnitellun louhoksen ja talkkirikastamon ympäristövaikutuksia. Suunniteltu avolouhos sijoittuu Tulikiven Suomussalmen kaivospiirin kuuluvaan Haaposen esiintymään. Talkkirikastamon suunniteltu kapasiteetti on noin 125 000 tonnia talkkia vuodessa.  YVA-menettely toteutetaan Afry Finland Oy:n kanssa ja se käynnistyy tammikuussa 2021.  Tulikivi Oyj:n tytäryhtiön Nordic Talc Oy:n tavoitteena on Tulikiven Suomussalmella olevien talkkivarantojen teollinen hyödyntäminen. Suomussalmen talkkihankkeen toteuttavuusselvitys tarkentaa talkkihankkeen kannattavuus-, ympäristö- ja kaivostekniset suunnitelmat teollista toimintaa varten.On ennenaikaista arvioida hankkeen toteutumista tai taloudellisia vaikutuksia.TULIKIVI OYJHallitus
