The project, titled “Key Technologies and Engineering of Novel Silicon-Carbon Anode Materials for Lithium-ion Batteries,” has been awarded $730,000, which is allocated to advance the next-stage development of the silicon-carbon anode project.
Silicon-carbon anode materials are recognized globally as a critical pathway to achieving higher energy density in next-generation lithium-ion batteries. This major project is focused on overcoming industry-wide challenges such as volume expansion and cycle stability, aiming to accelerate the commercialization of this advanced material technology. In the mid-term assessment, Sunrise demonstrated substantial progress in material innovation and process engineering, earning high recognition from the expert review panel.
