TORONTO, May 25, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Partners Value Investments L.P. (the “Partnership” TSX: PVF.UN TSX:PVF.PR.U) announced today its financial results for the three months ended March 31, 2020. All amounts are stated in US dollars.
The Partnership generated net income of $74 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2020 compared to $29 million in the prior year period. The increase in net income was primarily attributable to foreign currency gains recognized during the quarter.The market price of a Brookfield share was $29.50 per share at March 31, 2020 compared to $38.53 at December 31, 2019, adjusted for the three-for-two stock split effective April 1, 2020.Consolidated Statements of Operations
