MISTRAS Group Accelerates AI and Digital Innovation Strategy

Investment in AI Leadership Will Build on MISTRAS’ Decades of Asset Integrity Expertise, Data, and Technology

PRINCETON JUNCTION, N.J., Aug. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — MISTRAS Group, Inc. (NYSE: MG), a global leader in technology-enabled industrial asset integrity and laboratory testing solutions, is accelerating its artificial intelligence strategy as part of a broader effort to advance innovation and transform the Company’s deep industry expertise, decades of integrity data, and expanding digital capabilities into smarter, more actionable intelligence.

Building on its portfolio of advanced inspection technologies, condition monitoring, engineering, and integrity management software, MISTRAS is exploring new ways to apply AI across its operations and customer solutions. The Company’s focus is on practical applications that can enhance inspection intelligence, improve how complex asset data is analyzed, support engineering and operational workflows, and ultimately increase the speed and precision of insights that help customers make better-informed asset integrity and maintenance decisions.

As part of this strategy, MISTRAS has appointed Samer F. Sarrouh as Executive Director of Artificial Intelligence. Sarrouh will lead MISTRAS’ enterprise AI strategy and help translate AI opportunities from individual ideas into coordinated, scalable business capabilities. His responsibilities will include identifying and prioritizing opportunities across the organization while establishing a practical framework for adoption, governance, and performance measurement.

“Our clients operate complex, critical assets where the quality and timeliness of information can have a significant impact on the decisions they make,” said Hani Hammad, Chief Operating Officer of MISTRAS Group. “MISTRAS has deep technical expertise and an expanding portfolio of technology-enabled solutions. AI gives us another powerful tool to bring those capabilities together, unlocking greater value for our clients and helping them make smarter, more informed decisions.”

“AI strengthens how we operate, how we serve our customers, and how we use the decades of knowledge and integrity data that already exist across MISTRAS,” said Jim Redmon, MISTRAS Group’s Senior Vice President of Operations – Data Solutions. “Our goal is to build a responsible and repeatable capability that produces measurable value for MISTRAS and our customers. That means solving the right business problems, establishing strong data and governance foundations, and scaling what proves effective.”

“The greatest opportunity for AI at MISTRAS is to strengthen the expertise our customers already rely on,” Sarrouh said. “By combining our people, data, and domain knowledge with new AI capabilities, we can continue improving how we solve complex asset integrity challenges and support better decisions.”

Sarrouh brings leadership experience spanning artificial intelligence, software engineering, cloud computing, enterprise data platforms, and industrial systems. Most recently, he led enterprise data and AI initiatives at Kroger, including production AI capabilities, retail intelligence, data-platform modernization, and operating models for responsible AI adoption. He previously held leadership roles at Amazon Web Services and RoviSys Automation & Information Solutions, bringing experience across large-scale cloud infrastructure, industrial systems, and enterprise software delivery. He holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Cleveland State University.
