First Busey Corporation Announces Virtual 2020 Annual Stockholder Meeting

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., May 04, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — First Busey Corporation (NASDAQ: BUSE) (“First Busey”) today announced that, due to the COVID-19 executive orders issued by the Governor of the State of Illinois, which prohibit gatherings of more than 10 people in the State of Illinois, and to prioritize the health and well-being of stockholders and Company personnel during the global pandemic, its Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the “Annual Meeting”) has been changed to a virtual meeting format.The Annual Meeting will continue to be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.  As described in the proxy materials for the Annual Meeting, dated April 9, 2020, those eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting are stockholders of record as of the close of business on March 23, 2020 or holders of a legal proxy for the meeting.  The proxy card included with the proxy materials previously distributed will not be updated to reflect the change to a virtual meeting format and may continue to be used to vote shares in connection with the Annual Meeting.Stockholders will be able to attend the meeting online, vote their shares electronically and submit their questions by visiting www.virtualshareholdermeeting.com/BUSE2020.
