pörssitiedote 5.12.2019 kello 8.30 EETFingrid myy suurimman osan Nord Pool-omistuksestaanFingrid Oyj on yhdessä muiden osakkeenomistajien kanssa tehnyt sitovan sopimuksen myydä enemmistö Nord Pool Holding AS:n osakkeistaan Euronext Nordics Holding AS:lle, joka on norjalainen Euronext N.V:n täysin omistama yhtiö, joka transaktion toteuduttua tulee omistamaan 66% Nord Pool -konsernista.Nord Pool on Euroopan johtavia sähköpörssejä, joka tarjoaa neljässätoista Euroopan maassa kattavat palvelut spot- ja päivän sisäiseen kaupankäyntiin liittyen. Euronext on johtava eurooppalainen pörssitoimija, joka on laajentamassa toimintaansa hyödykemarkkinoilla ja Pohjoismaissa.Viimeaikaiset muutokset EU-sääntelyssä ovat muuttaneet sähköpörssit alueellisista monopoleista eurooppalaisiksi kilpailluiksi liiketoiminnoiksi.”Fingridin strategiaan ei luonnollisena monopolina kuulu minkäänlaisen kilpaillun liiketoiminnan omistaminen. Intressimme kantaverkkoyhtiönä on olla riippumaton markkinatoimijoista ja tukea pohjoismaisen ja eurooppalaisen sähkömarkkinan edelleenkehitystä. Tämä transaktio on siten luonnollinen askel”, sanoo Jan Montell, Fingridin talous- ja rahoitusjohtaja.Transaktio edellyttää sääntely- ja kilpailuviranomaisten hyväksyntää ja sen odotetaan toteutuvan vuoden 2020 ensimmäisen kvartaalin aikana. Transaktiolla tulee olemaan pieni positiivinen vaikutus Fingridin vuoden 2020 tulokseen ja rahavirtaan. Fingridin välillinen omistus Nord Pool -konsernista tulee transaktion toteutumisen jälkeen olemaan 6,4%.Lisätietoja:
