Châtenoy-le-Royal, France / Rochester, N.Y., USA, Aug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Ekoscan Integrity Group (EIG), a global leader advancing technologies for non-destructive testing and repair, and Carestream Health, Inc. today announced that they have signed a definitive agreement under which EIG will acquire Carestream’s US-based NDT Digital business, spanning computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR). The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

Carestream’s NDT Digital business is a recognized leader in industrial radiographic imaging under the INDUSTREX brand, spanning computed radiography systems, digital radiography detectors and imaging software, supported by an experienced US commercial, applications and service team and operations in Rochester, New York. Its solutions serve aerospace and defense, oil and gas, power generation and other industrial inspection markets.

“We advance technologies for NDT and repair — the integrity of critical industrial assets is our mission. Adding Carestream’s NDT Digital business, its INDUSTREX computed and digital radiography portfolio, its experienced US team and its Rochester operations makes EIG a global multi-method inspection leader. We are acquiring this business to grow it,” said Hugo Cence, CEO of Ekoscan Integrity Group.

“This transaction positions our NDT Digital business for continued growth under an owner fully dedicated to industrial inspection, while enabling Carestream to sharpen its focus on healthcare imaging and invest further in innovation, customer service and long-term growth. We believe this is a positive outcome for our customers, employees and both organizations,” said Todd Clegg, CEO of Carestream Health.

Continuity for customers and partners

Customers will continue to work with their existing sales and service contacts, ensuring continuity throughout the transition and beyond. All customer agreements, purchase orders, warranties and service commitments remain in place. EIG and Carestream have also established a long-term commercial partnership that will ensure continued support for Carestream’s NDT Film business in the United States and provide continuity for customers across the INDUSTREX portfolio.

Until closing, the NDT Digital business continues to operate within Carestream, and it is business as usual for customers, partners and employees. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
