DFDS’ europæiske logistiknetværk udvides med finsk selskab


For yderligere at udvide og udvikle den europæiske logistikforretning har DFDS købt 100% af aktiekapitalen i den finske logistikvirksomhed Freeco Logistics, der har hovedkontor i Turku samt kontorer i Vantaa, Finland, og i Tallinn, Estland.”Freeco Logistics er en hurtigt voksende finsk udbyder af transport, der giver kritisk masse til DFDS’ forretning i Finland. Freeco Logistics leverer international transport mellem hovedsageligt Finland og Skandinavien, Baltikum og Kontinentaleuropa. Selskabet tilbyder også indenlandsk transport i Finland, bl.a. for at optimere den internationale forretning.
Driften omfatter en flåde på omkring 150 trailere og otte lastbiler. Virksomheden har 31 ansatte og en årlig omsætning på EUR 20 mio.Strategisk match
Freeco Logistics udvider og styrker DFDS’ nuværende aktiviteter mellem Finland og Kontinentaleuropa og tilfører egen transportkapacitet i Finland samt adgang til et stort transportnetværk. Købet forventes således at medføre synergier fra forretningsudvikling.
Transaktion
Transaktionen blev afsluttet i dag, og Freeco Logistics vil nu blive konsolideret ind i DFDS Koncernen.
