Roissy, le 4 décembre 2019Le 21 novembre 2019, Air France-KLM, Delta Air Lines et Virgin Atlantic saluaient la décision du ministère américain des Transports de leur accorder l’immunité antitrust (ATI) dans le cadre de l’extension de la coentreprise transatlantique. Il s’agissait de la dernière étape réglementaire avant que les compagnies aériennes ne puissent mettre en œuvre leur partenariat.Parallèlement, les partenaires ont finalisé la gouvernance de la coentreprise élargie, avec des processus de prise de décision simplifiés pour que la coentreprise réalise pleinement son potentiel de synergies. Air France-KLM et Virgin ont considéré que l’acquisition d’une participation dans Virgin Atlantic n’était plus nécessaire. Ils discutent actuellement un accord selon lequel Air France-KLM ne prendra pas de participation dans Virgin Atlantic, sans impact sur la position d’Air France-KLM dans la coentreprise commerciale associant Delta Air Lines, Virgin Atlantic et Air France-KLM.Air France-KLM poursuit son plan d’investissement ambitieux afin de retrouver sa place de leader et prépare le lancement de la coentreprise transatlantique étendue dans les prochaines semaines.Ce partenariat est essentiel pour renforcer la position de leader du groupe entre l’Europe et l’Amérique du Nord et offrira à ses clients la meilleure expérience de voyage sur les vols transatlantiques.
