Argonaut Gold and Alio Gold Merger Receives Positive Recommendation from Proxy Advisor Firm, Institutional Shareholder Services Inc.

TORONTO and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 04, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Argonaut Gold Inc. (“Argonaut” or “Argonaut Gold”) (TSX: AR) and Alio Gold Inc. (“Alio” or “Alio Gold”) (TSX, NYSE-A: ALO) are pleased to announce that Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (“ISS”), an independent proxy advisory firm that provides voting recommendations to shareholders, has issued positive reviews of the proposed merger announced on March 30, 2020.  ISS recommends that both Argonaut and Alio shareholders vote in favour of the resolutions to be voted on at the special meeting of shareholders to be held on May 20, 2020.
