Gent, 28 december 2020, 18 uPersbericht / Gereglementeerde informatieABO-GROUP neemt Frans geofysisch ingenieursbureau SUBGEO over.ABO-GROUP verwerft op 28 december 2020 het handelsfonds van het Franse SUBGEO. SUBGEO heeft haar hoofdzetel in Mornac nabij Angoulême, in het Franse departement Charente-Maritime. Door deze overname kan ABO-GROUP in haar drie thuislanden, België, Nederland en Frankrijk, alsook internationaal, haar kennis betreffende geofysische studies verder uitbreiden. Vorig jaar nam ABO-Holding al het groter geofysisch bedrijf INNOGEO over, met hoofdzetel in Bourget-du-Lac, nabij Chambéry, en kantoor in Parijs. Vanaf 1 januari 2021 zullen de activiteiten van SUBGEO in ABO INNOGEO geïntegreerd worden.SUBGEO is een ingenieursbureau, gespecialiseerd in geofysische metingen voor grond- en constructiestudies. Het Franse bedrijf heeft over de jaren heen een reputatie opgebouwd op het vlak van elektrische-, magnetische- en elektromagnetische metingen, seismische detectie en oppervlaktedetectie via microgravimetrie en georadars.Strategische overname‘Wij zien de overname van SUBGEO als een strategische overname’ benadrukt Frank De Palmenaer, CEO van ABO-GROUP Environment. ‘Vorig jaar namen wij reeds INNOGEO over, gespecialiseerd in geofysische studies. Met de overname van SUBGEO versterken wij onze aanwezigheid ditmaal in het Zuidwesten van Frankrijk. Zodoende komen we tegemoet aan onze grote klanten die steeds meer opdrachten voor geofysische studies geven. Onze business development managers in België en Nederland zullen deze bijkomende specifieke kennis van SUBGEO ook mee kunnen opnemen in het dienstenpallet’.TransactieABO-GROUP verwacht door deze operatie een kruisbestuiving van haar activiteiten en een meer landelijke spreiding in Frankrijk. De overnameprijs wordt met eigen middelen betaald en SUBGEO zal vanaf 1 januari 2021 opgaan in ABO-INNOGEO. Met de overname van ABO-INNOGEO in 2019 kon ABO-GROUP reeds grote opdrachten binnenhalen. Zo voerde het, in samenwerking met Geosonda, dit jaar een grote opdracht uit in Le Havre, waarbij ze op zoek gingen naar niet-ontplofte oorlogsmunitie, voor de bouw van een windmolenfabriek. De overname van SUBGEO kan hierbij versterkend werken om nog meer van dergelijke opdrachten binnen te halen.
