Umicore rondt overname van kobaltraffinaderij en activiteiten voor kathodeprecursoren in Finland af

Umicore heeft vandaag bekendgemaakt dat het de overname van de kobaltraffinaderij en kathodeprecursorenactiviteiten van Freeport Cobalt in Kokkola, Finland, heeft afgerond voor een bedrag van $ 203 miljoen op een schulden- en cashvrije basis (inclusief ongeveer $ 50 miljoen netto-werkkapitaal). De goedkeuring van alle regelgevende instanties met betrekking tot de transactie werd ontvangen.Verwacht wordt dat de overname vanaf 2020 zal bijdragen aan de winst en vanaf 2021 zal bijdragen tot de waardecreatie, na voltooiing van het integratieproces en een vermindering van het netto werkkapitaal door synergieën in de toeleveringsketen.Umicore profielUmicore is een wereldwijde materiaaltechnologie- en recyclagegroep.
