SEB och bankerna intensifierar samarbetet med polisen för att bekämpa penningtvätt

SEB och de största bankerna i Sverige intensifierar samarbetet med Polismyndigheten genom ökad informationsdelning i kampen mot penningtvätt, finansiering av terrorism och organiserad brottslighet.  

Initiativet SAMLIT (Swedish Anti-Money Laundering Intelligence Initiative) initierades av SEB:s vd Johan Torgeby förra sommaren i egenskap av ordförande för Bankföreningen.
-Nu tar vi nästa steg för att samhället bättre ska kunna komma åt och förebygga organiserad brottslighet. För oss innebär detta att vi får bättre insikter om till exempel  suspekta transaktionsmönster i vårt kontinuerliga arbete mot penningtvätt, finansiering av terrorism och andra typer av ekonomisk brottslighet, säger Martin Johansson, som i sin roll som senior advisor på SEB leder bankens arbete med SAMLIT.Sedan tidigare sker informationsutbyte mellan varje enskild bank och Polismyndigheten, som även genom penningtvättslagen har rätt att begära ut information. För att stärka bekämpandet av penningtvätt kommer de deltagande bankerna, som förutom SEB innefattar Danske Bank, Handelsbanken, Nordea och Swedbank, nu gemensamt och regelbundet träffa polisens underrättelseenhet på Nationella operativa avdelningen (Noa) för att dela information om till exempel nya tillvägagångssätt, brottstyper eller andra mönster som gemensamt kunnat identifieras. För ytterligare information, kontakta:
