The Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs has presented a regulatory proposal in the government’s consultation portal on the plans to submit to Althingi a bill allowing for the liquidation and settlement of the IL-Fund. The settlement plans are in line with the assessment of the fund’s insolvency, revealed in a report presented by the minister to Parliament last October on the status of the fund.
