Aðalfundi Sláturfélags Suðurlands sem halda átti 20. mars 2020 er frestað um óákveðin tíma.
Við þær fordæmalausu aðstæður sem nú eru uppi vegna kórónaveirunnar COVID-19 hefur SS gripið til fjölþættra aðgerða til að draga úr sýkingaráhættu til að vernda starfsfólk sitt og viðskiptavini  í samræmi við tilmæli stjórnvalda. Aðgerðirnar taka einnig mið af því að tryggja eins og hægt er að starfsemi félagsins raskist sem minnst. Sem liður í að draga úr áhættu er aðalfundi félagsins sem halda átti 20. mars n.k. frestað um óákveðin tíma.Þegar aðstæður skýrast og samkomubanni verið aflétt verður aðalfundur SS haldinn og hann auglýstur að nýju í samræmi við ákvæði samþykkta félagsins.Reykjavík, 16. mars 2020.Sláturfélag Suðurlands svf.Hjalti H.
