In 2020 Q2, 5.4 million tonnes of cargo and 531 thousand passengers passed through the harbours of Tallinna Sadam. Compared to the same period of previous year, the cargo volume increased by 2.5% and the number of passengers decreased by 81.7%. The number of vessel calls declined by 20.9% to 1612 calls.According to Valdo Kalm, Chairman of the Management Board of Tallinna Sadam, the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic did not yet have a significant impact on cargo flows in the second quarter. 2020. aasta II kvartalis läbis Tallinna Sadama sadamaid 5,4 miljonit tonni kaupa ja 531 tuh reisijat. Võrreldes eelmise aasta sama perioodiga kasvas kaubamaht 2,5% ja reisijate arv vähenes 81,7%. SalMar’s subsidiary Ocean Farming AS has been granted its eight development licenses converted into ordinary fish production licenses. The Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries informed the company of its decision in a letter dated 7th of July 2020.This means that the eight licenses the company was granted on 26 February 2016 for the realization of its offshore fish farming facility (Ocean Farm 1) can now be included in its ordinary production, within the framework and regulations governing maximum allowable biomass (MAB).In its decision, the Directorate of Fisheries points out that Ocean Farming has provided comprehensive and thourough documentation showing that the performance criteria and thus the conditions for conversion have been fulfilled. Dette kommer frem av brev 7.7.2020 fra Fiskeridirektoratet.Dette betyr at de åtte tillatelsene selskapet 26.2.2016 fikk tilsagn om for realisering av sin «havmerd» (Ocean farm 1) nå kan inngå i selskapets ordinære produksjon innenfor rammen og reglene for maksimal tillatt biomasse (MTB).Fiskeridirektoratet påpeker i sitt vedtak at Ocean Farming har levert fyldig og god dokumentasjon som viser at målkriteriene og dermed vilkårene for konvertering er oppfylt.
